Hello from Michigan

I'm here visiting Grandma and taking in the cultural scene.

Dad got a special shirt for the occasion.

Then there was this stuff. It literally fell from the sky. No idea.

I got to wear this fancy vest to keep warm, though. That was pretty awesome.

Speaking of culture, something about this seems a little disturbing. Let's see, these guys are stockpiling guns, they've got plenty of booz and they're desperate for cash.

Gun guys: Come inside little boy.

Mookie: Pass.

Dad's been chauffeuring me around in this beast all week.

He was pretty pumped when he found these 44 oz. Mountain Dew slushies. Boom!

And I made a new friend. I've been having a blast, but all good things must come to an end and I'll have to return home soon. For now I'm just gonna relax and chill with Dad's crew.

Listen Up!

I have something very important to say...

California fall

We don't really have changes in season here but I found my first colored leaf today. It's so cool!

Dad said he knows of a magical place where, once a year they have whole forests full of leaves like this one; also bright red, orange and green. He said he would take me there and show me some day.

Until then I think I'll hang on to this one.

Mookie's new house

Good news everybody. Mookie's House is moving to a new location.

It' s much more spacious

Dad says I'll be able to crawl all around these old wood floors

Check out the wood fire place. Mom, can we make smores?

Here's Mom and Dad's bedroom

And my man cave, obviously

Check out this little deck and backyard. Dad keeps saying he wants a hammock but I think this is a perfect spot for a swing set.

This building to the right is very interesting. It's technically the garage...

But it's also a separate little spot for stashing grandparents! They're my favorite!

Here is the extra bedroom

And this is the bathroom in the extra unit

I have to say, I've really enjoyed where I'm at now, but I'm pretty excited to move into this swank spot!

Off to work

Mom was rushing to get ready for work this morning so I figured I would help her out by picking out her shoes. For some reason, I don't think she appreciated the favor that much.

Crazy wild boy

I can't wait until I can do this with my Mom's dishes!

Morning walk

Mom took me out for a long walk today. We made a stop at Whole Foods for some brunch. I had lots of fun. It was so exciting, I passed out on the way home.

Remote control

My Dad often likes to pat my belly and I like it too. But now I've figured out a way to get him to do it - and stop doing it - on my command. This will come in handy, I predict.

An update from Patrick

You guys remember my friend Patrick, right? He's the one who introduced me to those baby cookies that have become a staple of my diet.

Patrick heard I was going to football games with Mom and Dad so he asked his parents to take him. But they went to see that team across the bay. Very interesting.

Here's Patrick and his mom posing with one of the teams most loyal fans. Scary!

You are definitely going to want to wash that hand Patrick. You never know where this guy has been.

Apples!

After pigging out over Thanksgiving weekend, Mom is making me eat healthy food today. I insisted that I feed myself. I'm almost 10 months old. I don't need anyone to feed me!

Helping Dad with his surfboard

I figured that since Dad had to postpone his purchase of the surfboard , the least I can do is help him wax it.

My first Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving thing is apparently pretty important. I was going to bring a pie but I forgot to go to the store. Instead I just made a fish face.

From what I can tell, on Thanksgiving you're supposed to eat a lot, take a nap and watch football. So I guess every Saturday is Thanksgiving for my Dad.

The other thing, which was more than a little disappointing, is that you don't get any gifts. I kept waiting, but nada.

Mom said that instead of getting a bunch of gifts you're supposed to eat turkey and think about what you're thankful for. Could there possibly be a lamer holiday?

But it got me thinking about this crew. I do love Mom, Dad, Grandma and Grandma. And my uncles are super fun. Also, everybody is healthy and even though the economy is really bad everyone still has a job. All in all I'm really pretty lucky, come to think of it. I guess that means I'm thankful.
