Physical Fitness

I was obviously born with a very mature mind, but I have had to slowly improve my physical abilities over time.

First, there was the struggle with tummy time- which I ultimately mastered. Then, I learned how to roll over. Now, I can sit up all by myself!

I'm still working on crawling. That has been a tough one, but my parents keep reassuring me that I'm making progress. Here are some clips from one of my recent training sessions.

No matter how hard I kick, it seems I mostly go backwards.

Looks like I have more practicing to do!

Swimming

I'm still almost crawling. Which, as my Dad reminds me, isn't crawling. Crawling would be better. That's what Dad says.

But I'm spending lots of time on the floor, rolling around back and forth from my belly to my back. I even learned how to sit up on my own.

It's not that I'm not trying to crawl. I'm trying real hard. I just haven't figured out how to do it yet.

Instead I just get all worked up and start kicking my legs and wiggling my arms really fast. Dad says it looks like I'm trying to swim. He does have a point.

Lazy Sunday

Lazy Sunday, wake up in the late afternoon.

I'm hungry. Snack attack, Mom!

It's all about the Hamilton's!

Learning how to sing

I've been working on this little number for a while. What do you guys think?

Hanging with Dad

Pop had a pretty long week at work. So when he got home tonight we chilled on the couch and watched the game. Proper.

Surprise trip to Michigan

I had to make a last minute trip to Michigan recently for a top secret mission. It was kind of a tough time for my Dad. Here we are at Metro Airport, just after we got off our flight. I'm trying to cheer him up.

The good news is we got to catch up with a lot of old friends.

Here I am with all of my cousins.

We're not the easiest group to photograph if you don't act fast.

Of course, no trip to Michigan is complete without a visit with one of my favorite guest bloggers. Peanut, reach!

Some pictures

Hey all! Haven't talked to you in a while so I wanted to check in and show you some exciting pictures.

Since we last talked I've grown a ton. Most of my weight was apparently gained in my cheeks.

I'm learning how to roll over too. My Dad says it won't be long and I'll be crawling.

Here I am hanging out in my parents' hotel room.

And smiling at Momma in my car seat. Smiling in the car seat is something of a rare occurrence.

My Mom made me wear my hat like this. How embarrassing.

Giving kisses to my Dad. When I give Dad kisses I really put my whole body into it.

Here I am at the grocery store with my Mom. Yet another hat.

A new trick

Watch this Dad! I start out chilling on my back.

A little twist and before you know it I'm half way over.

Oops. Didn't quite make it. Back to square one.

Let's try this again. Start with a little twist...

And before you know it...

Success!

A work-around

Mom doesn't like me watching TV. She says it's bad for babies because it makes their brains mushy or something. So whenever she puts me down she always faces me away from the TV.

Here I am sitting in my little seat, facing toward the couch as usual. Doesn't she know today is the final round of the U.S. Open and the first day of the College World Series?

But I'm finding ways to quickly check the scores without anybody knowing. Pretty smart, no?

Rockstar

Since I have 2 uncles that play guitar and one uncle that plays drums, I'm thinking about starting a band. I'd like to be the lead singer so I need to practice. Here are a couple of takes:

Catchin' up

Hey Mooks! There's another floor dweller around here. Her name is Daisy and I like to chase her around. I have to be careful though, because she's sneeky and gives me goober kisses!

Do you like music, Mooks? I do and like to dance! My Daddy thinks that I'm practicing for playing the bass drum!

scooby doo bop bop! Isn't it fun making all of these sounds? I totally understand what you're saying and I agree with what you scolded your parents about. My Mommy and Daddy have to be told the same thing...someone has to keep them in line!

It was really nice to see all of your Grandparents together. It's pretty special when that happens. Looks like you're having lots of fun!

Disciplining My Parents

Overall, my parents are doing a good job. But every once in a while, I need to discipline them. I'm not too hard on them and try to boost the morale with an occasional smile, but sometimes they just need to be taught a lesson.

Memorial Day

Well, I had a very exciting Memorial Day. I convinced my Michigan grandparents to make a trip down to Southern California so I could hang out with all four of my grandparents at the same time.

I got to see Baba again and we had some very interesting conversations.

Here are my grandmothers together. They're so beautiful!

Here's all the grandparents and my mom. I was napping when they took this picture. I can't believe they didn't wait for me!

While we were down there, my dad took us to a Dodgers game which is kind of weird since we're Giants fans, but we had a good time anyway.

I entertained myself by sticking my tongue out most of the night.

Now I'm home where I'm back to goofing off with my dad.

And taking nice naps with my mom.
